Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Lajos Tímár started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aristides Iztal was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Panfilo in the 9th minute of play. Lajos Tímár could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Lajos Tímár tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luke Jamieson got free with Julio Vera in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aristides Iztal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 24 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, GangsTaz F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Aristides Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Aristides Iztal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Abel Panfilo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carmelo Ishmael was slow to take the kick. During this time GangsTaz F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on GangsTaz F. C.'s corner Carmelo Ishmael fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Panfilo in the 45th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aristides Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, GangsTaz F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Malbernat to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Aristides Iztal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. GangsTaz F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aristides Iztal quite easily take care of the ball. If Abel Panfilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Aristides Iztal in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Eladio in the 64th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 68th minute, but Aristides Iztal got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving GangsTaz F. C. hanging dry this time. In the 69th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. GangsTaz F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GangsTaz F. C.'s Hernan Vargas was substituted for Lisandro Eladio. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GangsTaz F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Malbernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Carmelo Ishmael sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. If Lajos Tímár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
