Emanuele Iovine kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Antonello Pittelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Emiliano Feltrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Juventus F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Iovine didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Ettore Puglielli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Puglielli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Juventus F.C. defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ettore Puglielli. The Juventus F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ettore Puglielli should have stopped the shot. After 30 played minutes Juventus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Cabrini. In the 31st minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Ettore Puglielli. Juventus F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ettore Puglielli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ettore Puglielli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Puglielli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 48th minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Ettore Puglielli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ettore Puglielli in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ettore Puglielli in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Juventus F.C. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Antoni Cabrini hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ettore Puglielli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ettore Puglielli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 71 minutes into the match, Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Ettore Puglielli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juventus F.C.'s Ettore Puglielli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Juventus F.C. from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juventus F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Ettore Puglielli, making the score, 0-5. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
