Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximiliano Escribano charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Escribano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaquiel Boñar got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zuberoa Sanguino was slow to take the kick. During this time Astillero del Guayas's players had a chance to rest. Vinicio Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Corozo Nevares got a free kick in the 24th minute. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Zuberoa Sanguino hit a great ball. Jaime Cazalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Collado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Collado having to make a save. Efrain Meruelo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Jaime Cazalla sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado didn't even have to move. When Diego Carredano fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Diego Carredano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Diego Carredano hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Efrain Meruelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Collado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astillero del Guayas's goalie prevented a goal. Vinicio Collado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 47th minute of play. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Carredano made a kick off. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 54th minute of play. Vinicio Collado came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Escribano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With his leg Vinicio Collado managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Diego Carredano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Videl Amaya's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Videl Amaya helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Videl Amaya. In the 70th minute, Astillero del Guayas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Maximiliano Escribano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vinicio Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Escribano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Collado was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Collado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Videl Amaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Collado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Vinicio Collado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. Vinicio Collado made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target.
