Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luís Moreno kicked off to start the match. After 9 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pombal 2003 F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Moreno in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Cássio Severo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Naldo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 23rd minute of the match. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Pombal 2003 F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 27 minutes, Rodrigo Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo de Queirós in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betão Félix. Betão Félix received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Betão Félix slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. Gilson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 43rd minute of play. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. When Luís Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pombal 2003 F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Moreno couldn't finish the play. Gilson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Naldo de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goalkeeper Gilson Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Vito Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vito Luz hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Gilson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pombal 2003 F.C.'s zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson Arósio came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulão Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Arósio having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. If Betão Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Betão Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 minutes of play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Luís Moreno made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Pombal 2003 F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
