Robert Boklund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 14 played minutes Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Vennerström. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Boklund having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Svanberg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Boklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Robert Boklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. Robert Boklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Boklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robert Boklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Smefeldt to strike the kick off in the second half. When Åke Grönlund fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's protests and gave Åke Grönlund a yellow card for diving instead. Åke Grönlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. 76 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Boklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Daniel Zorita did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Robert Boklund 81 minutes into the match. Albin Browall hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Robert Boklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eddie Smefeldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After 90 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Boklund was left in no man's land by his defense there!
