Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute of the match Mariano Lacasa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Ibar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ibar was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ibar saved Florida United from getting behind. Mark Bållström hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Fontirroig in the 16th minute of play forced Florida United's goalkeeper Gabriel Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 21 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Ibar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gabriel Ibar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Florida United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. In the 27th minute of the match, Nuralp Eracar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 34 minutes into the game, Chile's Orlando Casaus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Ibar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 45 minutes into the match, Florida United's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Gabriel Ibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Eracar in the 47th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Florida United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuralp Eracar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Florida United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gabriel Ibar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 56 minutes into the match, Florida United's goalkeeper Gabriel Ibar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Saverio Gaitano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Gabriel Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuralp Eracar in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. 64 minutes into the game, Mark Bållström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute Natalio Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chile's Felix Garrido got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Eracar in the 75th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ibar made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Nuralp Eracar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Florida United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. Gabriel Ibar was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 2-5. 95 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Heriberto came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Florida United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chile were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
