In the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Mustafa Hamit Özercan. Halcones Azules's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 9th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Halcones Azules's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Mustafa Hamit Özercan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mustafa Hamit Özercan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Halcones Azules's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Mustafa Hamit Özercan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mustafa Hamit Özercan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced Halcones Azules's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Özercan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Halcones Azules got a freekick which was hit by 张真军. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Hamit Özercan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Severino Benvido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 张真军 in the 25th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Mustafa Hamit Özercan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When 张真军 fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halcones Azules's protests and gave 张真军 a yellow card for diving instead. 张真军 hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced Halcones Azules's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Özercan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes Halcones Azules's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mustafa Hamit Özercan quite easily take care of the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Halcones Azules's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Halcones Azules's Mustafa Hamit Özercan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Mustafa Hamit Özercan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when 张真军 made the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Lico hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mustafa Hamit Özercan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Hamit Özercan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Hamit Özercan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Aristides Paul hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Weather to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hamit Özercan having to interfere. In the 75th minute of the match Halcones Azules got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Benvido ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Halcones Azules's Mustafa Hamit Özercan got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 80 played minutes Halcones Azules got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Vitin. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones Azules's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Hamit Özercan came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Halcones Azules's Mustafa Hamit Özercan did a great save. In the 86th minute, Daniel Zorita had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 86 minutes, Severino Benvido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halcones Azules and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador made a substitution. Luz Palacio replaced Daniel Zorita. After a rather tough play, Halcones Azules's Severino Benvido got a free kick in the 88th minute. Luz Palacio came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mustafa Hamit Özercan could save by the left post. Halcones Azules's Mustafa Hamit Özercan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Halcones Azules from getting a goal against them. After 94 played minutes Halcones Azules got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Paul. Ecuador played a much better game than Halcones Azules and deserved their victory. The Halcones Azules players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
