Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. The supporters of TS Wisła Kraków booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. 3 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Maxim. Jurand Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Jurand Panasewicz. TS Wisła Kraków's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurand Panasewicz having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Arnista, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Adam Arnista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-1 in the 27 minute of play. TS Wisła Kraków's Jurand Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Palmiro Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Palmiro Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. TS Wisła Kraków's Adam Arnista got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced TS Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper Jurand Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jurand Panasewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Marcel Maxim sent off a good shot on target. After 43 minutes of play, TS Wisła Kraków's Adam Arnista made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jurand Panasewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Adam Arnista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Arnista in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jurand Panasewicz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after TS Wisła Kraków's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. TS Wisła Kraków's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Jurand Panasewicz, making the score, 3-2. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jurand Panasewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jurand Panasewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute. Klement Lukasik hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match.
