Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaudencio Tximitx scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee ignored UnikKatiL Bloody Alboz's protests and gave Ylber Juniku a yellow card for diving instead. Ylber Juniku hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 76 minutes, Gaudencio Tximitx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UnikKatiL Bloody Alboz and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Menduh Tupa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute. In the 98th minute, Erkand Naço hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
