Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Leopoldo Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Capixaba couldn't finish the play. Walmir Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. After 7 minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmir Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walmir Dias. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmir Dias should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Luís Fabiano Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Toninho da Cunha got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Walmir Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Dias having to interfere. Walmir Dias made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Walmir Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Walmir Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Róbson Sergipano during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Róbson Sergipano got a free kick in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Walmir Dias in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Walmir Dias to make any attempt to save it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walmir Dias. Walmir Dias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Walmir Dias came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 90th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Capixaba in the 94th minute of play.
