Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fabio Muñoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flann Flack, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Hermes Zambrano got a throw-in 14 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fritz Lonning. In the 17th minute, Alexander Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flann Flack in the 24th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Murillo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Julio-César Morales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. DÏVÄLÄ's Rigoberto Caballero was substituted for Juan Moreno. After 83 played minutes DÏVÄLÄ got a freekick which was hit by Julio-César Morales. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. DÏVÄLÄ had won after a very even match.
