The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Jelonki. In the 10th minute, Jan Juchno made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Gruchacz in the 14th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulises Olivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, FC Jelonki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Juchno to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Olivar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Ulises Olivar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Olivar having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Olivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Ulises Olivar. FC Jelonki's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Jelonki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldo Bean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Juchno in the 59th minute of play. Ulises Olivar made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Marios Kontos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play.
