After 7 minutes Barões F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Souto in the 9th minute of play. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nixon Richard sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. After 20 played minutes, Peru's Milagros Fraga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio Baiano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peru reached it. Luiz Fábio Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Luz Tejedor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Laurencio Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Barões F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Coccolone. In the 44th minute of the match Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Baiano skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. With a little luck, Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Paraibano in the 59th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Nixon Richard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barões F. C. made a substitution. Luisito Pistolelis replaced Luiz Fábio Souto. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Paraibano in the 82nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Júlio Baiano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Barões F. C. defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Baiano. The Barões F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Baiano should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor.
