Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KKP Spasione Kocury's Lech Rosen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Boleslaw Polakowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 minutes of play, KKP Spasione Kocury's Herbert Zurawski made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Boleslaw Polakowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. KKP Spasione Kocury's supporters rose to their feet, but Boleslaw Polakowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lech Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 23rd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Boleslaw Polakowski in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiktor Hryc during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when KKP Spasione Kocury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Hryc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lech Rosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind KKP Spasione Kocury's goalkeeper Lech Rosen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. KKP Spasione Kocury's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lech Rosen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boleslaw Polakowski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Boleslaw Polakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Zurawski scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Lech Rosen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, KKP Spasione Kocury's goalkeeper Lech Rosen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herbert Zurawski in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Zubiaga in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Sabin Zubiaga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabin Zubiaga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 96th playminute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. KKP Spasione Kocury were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
