Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. When Luiz Fábio Souto came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Barões F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fábio Souto couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Paraibano during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Júlio Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of the match. Júlio Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes of play Barões F. C.'s Donato Paraibano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Donato Paraibano hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Júlio Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Vito Cosme threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Efraim Gilabert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fábio Souto in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Barões F. C. getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Laurencio Vidal hit a great ball. Pedro Paulo Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Barões F. C. were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fábio Souto took the corner. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 55 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fábio Souto who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Luiz Fábio Souto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Luiz Fábio Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Queirós in the 61st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júlio Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 64th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Júlio Baiano in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nixon Richard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Barões F. C.'s Luisito Pistolelis was substituted for Luiz Fábio Souto. In the 78th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. A sloppy throw-in by Vito Cosme in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Joaquin Prats. Júlio Baiano made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Antonio Tenorio sent off a good shot on target. Eliseo Mina was extremely unlucky when he, in the 98th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
