Sαηgrε Azuɭ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 68th minute of the match Sαηgrε Azuɭ got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 72nd minute Cirilo Virila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ur Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Adrian Orzaize scored 2-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Cirilo Virila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernhardt Reshauge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
