After 32 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Farik Gagula came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. With his leg Farik Gagula managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Frisco, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The Dobrinja FC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Dobrinja FC's Samantha Farhat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dobrinja FC's Farik Gagula proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Dobrinja FC from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Terciero in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Dobrinja FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
