With a left leg Modesto Santikurtz saved Diego Eterno from getting behind. Modesto Santikurtz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Modesto Santikurtz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Jairo Kiliz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Macias got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Macias came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Macias kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Jairo Kiliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Macias to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Joel Macias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 88th match minute, Diego Eterno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pang Xing Chen to maneuver through the defense. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
