Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Pladask getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nils-Johan Hagberg hit a great ball. Douglas Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. Alf Eik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 22nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Fowler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Fowler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Douglas Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 37th minute of the match. After 39 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Fowler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Douglas Fowler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of the match. FC Pladask's Douglas Fowler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 46th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Sebastián Puig in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Douglas Fowler in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Douglas Fowler came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 58th minute. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Fowler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Søren Skålevik charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Søren Skålevik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Pladask was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Søren Skålevik didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Pladask made a substitution. Amund Gjerstad replaced Erik Bratli. After a rather tough play, FC Pladask's Søren Skålevik got a free kick in the 69th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douglas Fowler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Douglas Fowler could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas Fowler having to make a save. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Douglas Fowler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Pladask defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Fowler. The FC Pladask fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Fowler should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Douglas Fowler. That made the score 0-5 in the 91 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pladask's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Fowler came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by Morten Lauten.
