When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. After 10 minutes of play, ÅFF J's Allan Nilsson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathias Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Nils-Emil Lundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of ÅFF J booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Smed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, ÅFF J's goalkeeper Mathias Smed had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after ÅFF J's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. With a little luck, ÅFF J's Mathias Smed got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute Allan Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Lundgren in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, ÅFF J could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
