Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Piczak having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alessio Punta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Piczak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Alessio Punta might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alessio Punta ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmund Piczak. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play forced Centenario City FC's goalkeeper Edmund Piczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Piczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Piczak having to interfere. Centenario City FC's Edmund Piczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. When Frasco Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centenario City FC's protests and gave Frasco Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 54 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmund Piczak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The supporters of Centenario City FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Frasco Ferreira came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Centenario City FC's Frasco Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. 74 minutes into the match, Centenario City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Edmund Piczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Punta, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Edmund Piczak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Cristian Sancho played forward. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Punta in the 94th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Piczak having to interfere.
