Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Soeiro started the match with the kick off. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. SANTOS F.C's Teodoro Maranhense shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dante Lacasa but with some difficulty. Cauã Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 5th minute of the match. Cauã Domingues came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SANTOS F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 21st minute, Durvalino Soeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-1. Cauã Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cauã Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauã Domingues was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 46 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Gustavo Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cauã Domingues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 51st minute. 56 minutes into the match, SANTOS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Cauã Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of SANTOS F.C's Cauã Domingues. Cauã Domingues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cauã Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 60th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SANTOS F.C's Durvalino Soeiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cauã Domingues made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Cauã Domingues however easily saved by the left post. In the 85th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 89th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauã Domingues. Cauã Domingues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. 96 minutes into the match, SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Cauã Domingues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The SANTOS F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
