Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, ΟΦΗ's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Ilias Seichanidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Giorgos Bletsios hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of play forced ΟΦΗ's goalkeeper Ilias Seichanidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Seichanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Seichanidis having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Landero got free with Dante Lacasa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute Luca Rouco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Seichanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilias Seichanidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes ΟΦΗ got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Bletsios. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ΟΦΗ's goalkeeper Ilias Seichanidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Mexico booed when ΟΦΗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulvio Forlani didn't get a good kick on the ball. ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 37th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ilias Seichanidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. The ΟΦΗ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Nasos Papadis made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Augusto Landero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Ilias Seichanidis threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Landero in the 64th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nasos Papadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilias Seichanidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Luca Zorita had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Ilias Seichanidis in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ilias Seichanidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 minutes ΟΦΗ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Papadis in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 85th minute of play forced ΟΦΗ's goalkeeper Ilias Seichanidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. ΟΦΗ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Landero in the 87th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Ilias Seichanidis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Macos Graciani made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alberto Tafalla however managed to control. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but ΟΦΗ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
