Deportivo Pergamino's Marcos Bela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play. Marcos Bela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The Deportivo Pergamino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Bela should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristobal Tipi in the 30th minute. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristobal Tipi's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Cristobal Tipi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Eduardo Sancho hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pergamino's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Marcos Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Bela came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pergamino's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Bela came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luca Zorita's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pergamino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 39th minute. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Bela having to make a save. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Bela having to interfere. If Eduardo Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Bela. Deportivo Pergamino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Bela having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Marcos Bela. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-7 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Bela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Pergamino's Primitivo Vitin was substituted for Cristobal Tipi.
