The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléberson Travassos during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kléberson Travassos hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 9th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Travassos got his second yellow card in the match during the 13th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Kléberson Travassos got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei Esteves. Litoral EC - CIMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Tomas Illescas scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinei Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinei Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Igor Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Litoral EC - CIMZ's Claudinei Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute, Venezuela's Alex Chicote seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alex Chicote the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alex Chicote had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Jonathan Ferrant had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Paulo José Campidelis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Paulo José Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patricio Costa didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The Litoral EC - CIMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Costa to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Claudinei Esteves threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Patricio Costa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 63rd playminute. Claudinei Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo José Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Litoral EC - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Massa. Litoral EC - CIMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Claudinei Esteves, making the score, 1-7. Claudinei Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Paulo José Campidelis got a free kick in the 90th minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Ulisses Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Litoral EC - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
