Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alejandro Fernandez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Ermegildo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of the match. Mexico's Luca Zorita managed to work through Asturcones d´la Abadía's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Luca Zorita dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 43 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Tormes. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Macos Graciani charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Macos Graciani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, David Valverde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 58 played minutes Asturcones d´la Abadía got a freekick which was hit by Xurxo Lagunas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play forced Asturcones d´la Abadía's goalkeeper Ermegildo Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Rouco lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 63 minutes into the game, one of Mexico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ermegildo Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enetz Carballeira in the 98th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asturcones d´la Abadía's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
