The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zigor Barroso in the 7th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zigor Barroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miks Lecis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of the match. Zigor Barroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miks Lecis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Xuan Solera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cometuétano and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cometuétano getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Xuan Solera hit a great ball. Cometuétano's Zigor Barroso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xuan Solera in the 39 minute of the game. In the 39th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Zigor Barroso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Zigor Barroso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Cometuétano's Miks Lecis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Cometuétano from getting a goal against them. Zigor Barroso scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leroy Vera, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute, Xuan Solera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cometuétano made a substitution. Kepa Portillo replaced Alejandro Sevilla. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cometuétano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aliecer Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Zigor Barroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes Cometuétano got a freekick which was hit by Xuan Solera.
