Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. If Carmine Cavanna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmine Cavanna. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Laykers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Ermanno Lalli might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermanno Lalli ran back to his position shaking his head. Ermanno Lallis short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corrado Pollastrini in the 46th minute. Demetrio Greco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 48th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermanno Lalli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Carmine Cavanna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Laykers's Ermanno Lalli. But to his dismay, Ermanno Lalli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Carmine Cavanna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Ermanno Lalli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermanno Lalli's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Demetrio Greco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demetrio Greco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ermanno Lalli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
