Thanks to some nice moves Vinicio Ulate could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. In the 7th minute, Abel Carrillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pamplona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Pamplona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izydor Betonowy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elar Queron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 15th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Pamplona FC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elar Queron. The Pamplona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elar Queron should have stopped the shot. After 23 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Carrillo in the 33rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Reiner Naranjo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Carrillo in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Leo Guevara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elar Queron having to interfere. The supporters of Pamplona FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Leo Guevara made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 78th match minute, Pamplona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izydor Betonowy to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elar Queron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leo Guevara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Sanchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 96 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Pamplona FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
