The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Cyryl Kiewra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Cyryl Kiewra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cyryl Kiewra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Kiewra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lekparken FC's Daniel Jacobsson got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Lekparken FC's Måns Stålman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 47 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Måns Stålman scored 3-0 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cyryl Kiewra to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lekparken FC's goalkeeper Sigge Holmberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sigge Holmberg. That made the score 3-1 after 55 minutes of play. 4-1 became the score in the 62nd minute when Cyryl Kiewra elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 66th minute Måns Stålman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Bastos's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The supporters of Lekparken FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Cyryl Kiewra notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 78 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Lekparken FC's Måns Stålman fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. Sigge Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Sigge Holmberg was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erling Boklund during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
