Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Naim Ökmen started the match with the kick off. When Naim Ökmen fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cappadocia FC's protests and gave Naim Ökmen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cappadocia FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Naim Ökmen hit a great ball. After 10 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oğuzhan Er was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oğuzhan Er showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes Cappadocia FC got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Hamit Tolgay. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Oğuzhan Er showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of the match. Oğuzhan Er took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naim Ökmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 43 played minutes Cappadocia FC got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Hamit Tolgay. In the 44th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Er saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Er saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oğuzhan Er made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 51st minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rıfat Erdem in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oğuzhan Er was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mecnun Eslem, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Cappadocia FC got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Naim Ökmen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rıfat Erdem went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 65th match minute, Cappadocia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naim Ökmen to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Cappadocia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Oğuzhan Er reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oğuzhan Er having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 76th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Er saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Cappadocia FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After having played for 96 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
