Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Felix Negrescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Tineretul Arad's Valentin Cruceru got a free kick in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Tineretul Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Daniel Anton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Pardo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Anton quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Tineretul Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Maior didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gerson Guimarães. Daniel Anton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 44th minute of the match. Tineretul Arad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Maior was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Anton having to interfere. Daniel Anton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 67th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tineretul Arad the free kick. In the 74th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pardo to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes Tineretul Arad got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Guimarães. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Paraguay players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
