Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute Ruben Higginson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Ruben Higginson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play, Ashley Down Athletic's Matthew Macken made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruben Higginson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Matthew Macken tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ed Helks went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ashley Down Athletic's Ed Helks. But to his dismay, Ed Helks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Ashley Down Athletic defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Estevon. The Ashley Down Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Estevon should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Ruben Higginson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Roberto Estevon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 60thth minute of the game Ed Helks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Ashley Down Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 67th minute. The supporters of Ashley Down Athletic booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ashley Down Athletic getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Eddie Pitt hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Ed Helks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Ashley Down Athletic players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
