With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pancracio Paniagua saved POPULAR F.C from getting behind. After 12 played minutes POPULAR F.C got a freekick which was hit by Attila Szepesvári. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Pancracio Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Victorio Pabla managed to get in a good position for a shot. POPULAR F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Pabla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victorio Pabla in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Pabla, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by POPULAR F.C's Clarke Brooks. In the 28thth minute of the game Victorio Pabla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, POPULAR F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Pancracio Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. POPULAR F.C's Maicon de Godoi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Macos Graciani in the 30 minute of the game. Victorio Pabla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Pabla in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 34th minute of play forced POPULAR F.C's goalkeeper Pancracio Paniagua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, POPULAR F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Pancracio Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clarke Brooks hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Pancracio Paniagua made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pancracio Paniagua. The goal made the score 1-1. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Gaona. POPULAR F.C's Denílson Prado was substituted for Stefaan Valkeneers. POPULAR F.C's Váldson Tande was substituted for Mei Xun Jun. POPULAR F.C's Sílvio Luís Pires was substituted for Gilson Cordeiro. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by POPULAR F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 68th minute, Attila Szepesvári hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pancracio Paniagua could save by the left post. Pancracio Paniagua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Pabla came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pancracio Paniagua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Alberto Tafalla sped through POPULAR F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pancracio Paniagua. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pancracio Paniagua. That made the score 1-3 after 91 minutes of play. Lorenzo Cazalla's late challenge caught a POPULAR F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Cazalla helped the player get up and apologised. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
