Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Resistencia's Freddy Sabin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Sabin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Sabin's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Gregorio Martinez sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hugo Bakker was slow to take the kick. During this time Resistencia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Resistencia's corner Genaro Illan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. Gaetano Mathieu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes Resistencia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Honduras's Milagros Cabal getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Freddy Sabin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaetano Mathieu having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Gregorio Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Martinez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Sabin in the 32nd minute of the match. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jacek Dudzik in the 37 minute of the game. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Sabin in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Resistencia's Freddy Sabin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 47th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Freddy Sabin made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Hugo Bakker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Resistencia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Sabin in the 69th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Sabin in the 71st minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Espiga in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gaetano Mathieu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Freddy Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Bakker in the 87th minute of play. Hugo Bakker scored 7-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Resistencia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
