Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced UFC Puturoasa's goalkeeper Anton Grimalschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Grimalschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Grimalschi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Cristian Ronaldo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Puturoasa's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Grimalschi came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Ronaldo in the 24th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Grimalschi having to interfere. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Anton Grimalschi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Jude Bellingham kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton Grimalschi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Grimalschi. UFC Puturoasa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With an all-out effort, UFC Puturoasa's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Ronaldo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Puturoasa's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Grimalschi came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anton Grimalschi having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Grimalschi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Cristian Ronaldo fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UFC Puturoasa's protests and gave Cristian Ronaldo a yellow card for diving instead. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Antonio Arias. Cristian Ronaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Anton Grimalschi made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, UFC Puturoasa's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Anton Grimalschi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Grimalschi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anton Grimalschi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than UFC Puturoasa.
