Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Mauricio Precioso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Larrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 29th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Precioso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Precioso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rufino Giron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 44th minute, Armando Larrieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 47 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rufino Giron came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After 63rd play minutes Rufino Giron shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauricio Precioso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Rufino Giron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club Puerto Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moreta Besosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauricio Precioso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st match minute, Club Puerto Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Norberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 82nd minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Mauricio Precioso in Club Puerto Quito's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. 87 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 董洲晨 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Leo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Puerto Quito had won after a very even match.
