The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Téo Loyola made in the 3rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Frederic Humbelets. Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Joaquin Gayoso however easily saved by the left post. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André de Sousa having to interfere. A hard shot 7 in the game by Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. Francisco Seco hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André de Sousa saved Tingara FC - DMZ from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of André de Sousa. Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 22nd minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. 25 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano. 26 minutes into the game, one of Uruguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 27 minutes, Tingara FC - DMZ's José Ramos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 36 minutes into the game, Kjell-Arne Sandström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tingara FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André de Sousa was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Kjell-Arne Sandström was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 52nd match minute, Tingara FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell-Arne Sandström to maneuver through the defense. With his leg André de Sousa managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61stth minute of the game Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano in the 63rd minute of play. Tingara FC - DMZ's Arneil Biddell was substituted for José Ramos. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got André de Sousa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 79th minute of play forced Tingara FC - DMZ's goalkeeper André de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André de Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 82nd minute. André de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes Tingara FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tingara FC - DMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
