The supporters of El Fortín de Floresta booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicanor Estefan's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Estefan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Nicanor Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enzo Hug kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Conrado Bernat took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 38th minute of play forced El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Alfonso Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. Teofilo Rojelio struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Fortín de Floresta. When Miguel Miralles fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Miguel Miralles a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Miralles kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Panama booed when El Fortín de Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Panama were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Vimaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Hug, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Miralles came free, but Alfonso Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Alfonso Vimaro made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Vimaro. El Fortín de Floresta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Alguacil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. With a little luck, El Fortín de Floresta's Alfonso Vimaro got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Fortín de Floresta.
