Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's Teofilo Rojelio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 13th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonso Vimaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of El Fortín de Floresta's Alfonso Vimaro. Alfonso Vimaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Conrado Bernat fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Fortín de Floresta's protests and gave Conrado Bernat a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Fortín de Floresta getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Conrado Bernat hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Felipe Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Fortín de Floresta's Alfonso Vimaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play forced El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Alfonso Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Alfonso Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The El Fortín de Floresta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-4.

52 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfonso Vimaro. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. 55 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Alfonso Vimaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 60 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of El Fortín de Floresta's Alfonso Vimaro. Alfonso Vimaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Vimaro. El Fortín de Floresta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. El Fortín de Floresta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Alfonso Vimaro, making the score, 0-8. 72 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of El Fortín de Floresta's Alfonso Vimaro. Alfonso Vimaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enzo Hug hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Alfonso Vimaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Bernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
