Peru's Joaquin Prats was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rubén Urruti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 15thth minute of the game Miguel Godoy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francesc Balmaseda got free with Rolando Noboa in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubén Urruti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of the match. Peru were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Auriolam II C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The supporters of Auriolam II C.F. booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Auriolam II C.F.'s Rubén Urruti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 60th minute of play. Auriolam II C.F.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Rubén Urruti, making the score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Rubén Urruti in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
