Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Tomas Illescas made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Hai Duong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Đặng Hanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 14 minutes of play, Hai Duong's Arthur Clarke made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th match minute, Hai Duong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Hanh to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Clarke in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur Clarke in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 30th minute of play forced Hai Duong's goalkeeper Osman Şenel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osman Şenel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zumar Villabona's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Lê Teo in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. After 40 played minutes Hai Duong got a freekick which was hit by Đặng Hanh. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zumar Villabona to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Zumar Villabona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Mai in the 60th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zumar Villabona in the 65th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Zumar Villabona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ngô Duy, made in the 77th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Arthur Clarke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. If Zumar Villabona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zumar Villabona in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Arthur Clarke made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hai Duong.
