Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 8th minute. The corner ended in Axel Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea did a great save. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taco Van Der Hoorn in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izydor Ogrodowicz to maneuver through the defense. Vasco Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense.
