Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Igor Noe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Igor Noe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murciélagos FC's Rodolfo Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Murciélagos FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Augusto Otsoa hit a great ball. After 25 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Murciélagos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. In the 27thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murciélagos FC's Rodolfo Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murciélagos FC's attentive Lisandro Balendin managed to snatch the ball when Eliseo Noboa made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Noe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Murciélagos FC's Augusto Otsoa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Rodolfo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lisandro Balendin fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murciélagos FC's protests and gave Lisandro Balendin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Murciélagos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Balendin to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Murciélagos FC defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Romero. The Murciélagos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Romero should have stopped the shot. Murciélagos FC's Igor Noe got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Murciélagos FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Costa Rica to win.
