Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Golo Phoenix started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Golo Phoenix got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Golo Phoenix to maneuver through the defense. Golo Phoenix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 20th minute of the match PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucian Şimonca ran over to the corner to take the kick. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Lucian Şimonca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dacian Ghițescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Felix Mihăilescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Golo Phoenix came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 46 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 56 minutes, Golo Phoenix made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 59 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. If Aristide Fetea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Ghițescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Phoenix in the 75th minute of play. Lucian Şimonca struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Golo Phoenix went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Virgil Jupân fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Golo Phoenix came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Golo Phoenix couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Phoenix in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. In the 95th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca had played much better football throughout.
