Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Leheren Ozuna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Tarapoto FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After having played for 8 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marques Farto in the 12th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patricio Costa in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivon Herruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Deportivo Tarapoto FBC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivon Herruz. The Deportivo Tarapoto FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivon Herruz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play forced Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's goalkeeper Ivon Herruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Leheren Ozuna scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-1. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Marques Farto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivon Herruz was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Ivon Herruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Leonardo Gaiztarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leheren Ozuna to make the kick off. Fortun Besosa's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fortun Besosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Fortun Besosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Gaiztarro in the 56th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marques Farto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leheren Ozuna during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 63rd minute of the match Leheren Ozuna completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leheren Ozuna a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 64 played minutes Deportivo Tarapoto FBC got a freekick which was hit by Leheren Ozuna. 67 minutes into the game, Jordi Vallejo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivon Herruz came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Capaldo in the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of Deportivo Tarapoto FBC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Leonardo Gaiztarro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 83rd minute, Francisco Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 84 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ivon Herruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivon Herruz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 92 minute of play.
