The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Songur Yoran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Orlin got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Forsberg during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. John Forsberg hit a great ball. Songur Yoran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 22nd minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute. Songur Yoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Damaso Orlin made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Orlin in the 51st minute of play. Arsenal FC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edvard Pihl took the corner. Einar Hedström was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. With a little luck, Arsenal FC's Songur Yoran got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Arsenal FC's corner Tadeusz Paciuszko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arsenal FC had won after a very even match.
