Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ünal Betik was slow to take the kick. During this time Futbol Sevenler Kulübü's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ünal Betik almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mert Günok breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarkko Laatikainen might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarkko Laatikainen ran back to his position shaking his head. Olgierd Niewiadomski's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olgierd Niewiadomski helped the player get up and apologised. Olgierd Niewiadomski hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. After 59 minutes of play, Futbol Sevenler Kulübü's Jarkko Laatikainen made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarkko Laatikainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Jarkko Laatikainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Mert Günok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarkko Laatikainen went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Mert Günok when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Özgür Özbek in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Agustín Saelices as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Mert Günok made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mert Günok was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Jarkko Laatikainen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futbol Sevenler Kulübü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The Futbol Sevenler Kulübü players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
