Valter Wallgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, You Qing Wen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Ola Håkansson had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 47th minute, Lars Vik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Woopbongo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Woopbongo from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valter Wallgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Vik came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valter Wallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Valter Wallgren in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peder Sundberg during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Woopbongo got a freekick which was hit by Peder Sundberg. After having played for 70 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Woopbongo from getting a goal against them. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Woopbongo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alberto Tafalla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Valter Wallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Valter Wallgren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 83 in the game by Lautaro Mancebo from a close distance when the talented Valter Wallgren managed to make a qualified save. Woopbongo's players were relieved. Edgar Albohm charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Albohm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgar Albohm hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valter Wallgren. Woopbongo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Woopbongo.
