When Sumethee Kanishthajata fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sheffield FC1857's protests and gave Sumethee Kanishthajata a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sheffield FC1857's Thiradet Jutaviriya got a free kick in the 21st minute. Paiboon Permpol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheffield FC1857's goalkeeper Paiboon Permpol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paiboon Permpol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Sheffield FC1857 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakdipat Klangprapan to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Sheffield FC1857's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Paiboon Permpol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Thani Mettarikanon came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sheffield FC1857 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thani Mettarikanon couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Paiboon Permpol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Paiboon Permpol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sheffield FC1857's Charoensook Pingyos got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Paiboon Permpol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With his leg Paiboon Permpol managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 53 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paiboon Permpol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Paiboon Permpol made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Sumethee Kanishthajata might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sumethee Kanishthajata ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, Sheffield FC1857's goalkeeper Paiboon Permpol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paiboon Permpol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Sheffield FC1857's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Paiboon Permpol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paiboon Permpol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 65th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paiboon Permpol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sheffield FC1857 defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paiboon Permpol. The Sheffield FC1857 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paiboon Permpol should have stopped the shot. After 70 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kachakon Vibulpan in the 71st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Paiboon Permpol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 82 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. Chile's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
